Meet our Performers

Solstice

Solstice is a flow artist with a background in hip hop and contemporary dance. She discovered flow arts about 4 years ago at a music festival. Opening the door to a journey into prop manipulation using hoops, dragon-staff, poi, triads, doubles and silk fans. “Anything can be a prop” is her favorite saying when she first picks up props eliminating the fear of thinking she couldn't flow with any props. Her performances are not just displays of technical prowess but emotional storytelling through the fluidity of her movements captivating audiences. A short yet rich background in performing, Solstice has graced the stages of festivals such as Elements, Karnival of the Arts, Millvale Music Festival, and Art All Night. Solstice also shares her passion for movement by offering workshops and classes through her newly founded non-profit Spiritus Vitae to the community at events around Pittsburgh and at festivals across the country and eventually worldwide. Her passion for collaborating with like minded beings results in a positive and  lasting effect in the communities she interacts with.
